Harmless treatment of food waste
Aiming at the comprehensive treatment of food waste, Tsinghua University put forward the methods of harmless treatment and resource utilization of food waste. Food waste contains a certain amount of oil and high protein. Effective recovery of oil and protein is the key to improve the economy and sustainable operation of food waste comprehensive treatment.

Ws kitchen waste oil-water separator and separation system is a high-efficiency separation device specially developed for the new process of harmless comprehensive utilization of kitchen waste by hydrothermal method proposed by Tsinghua University, which truly realizes separation and creates value.

Separation process of food waste
After coarse screening, comminution and wet heating, the cooking stuff enters WS oil-water separator. Under the action of centrifugal force field, the slurry is centrifugally settled quickly and is divided into three layers: oil phase, water phase and sediment. After separation, the three kinds of materials are discharged from their respective special channels. The well-designed discharge channel and discharge method can effectively prevent the oil phase from seeping into the water phase and sediment, and the oil in the kitchen waste can be recovered to the maximum extent.



Process features:
①、 Simple process, high efficiency and energy saving:
The traditional process uses two-phase solid-liquid separation to remove the liquid phase of solid coarse slag, and then realize the separation of oil and water through the disc separator. The secondary centrifugal separation of liquid phase consumes a lot of energy, and the fine slag in the liquid phase is easy to block the disc separator, so it needs frequent disassembly and washing, and the labor intensity is high. Ws oil-water separator is suitable for high concentration, single-stage separation can achieve oil / water / slag three-phase separation, complete oil recovery. If the quality of oil is higher, the oil can be further purified, the total amount of oil can be greatly reduced, and the equipment investment and operation cost of secondary separation can be reduced.
